We had a wonderful stay here for the first part of our trip. Fantastic midtown location, without being right in the billboards and lights of it. Close (walking distance) to so much - Times Square, Rockefeller, Grand Central, Bryant Park, Empire State, Central Park.... We stayed in the Skyline King Terrace and the Grand Balcony King and both rooms were comfortable and spacious for 2 adults and 2 teens. The terrace was large with comfortable lounge seating and it overlooked 46th St and 5th Ave, with the lights of Times Square visible just a couple blocks west. We used it daily and enjoyed our nightcaps on it each evening. The balcony, in the other room, was fine but the seating was basic, and it faced the back so there was no view at all. If I had to complain about something, I would say the entrance/lobby is small and underwhelming, which was a disappointment. Overall, we had a great stay and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful.

Lots of restaurants near by and subway options. Many fun NYC things in walking distance and good places next door for coffee. I had a room with balcony which sounds great but it faced other buildings with no view and I never went out there. The hotel was quiet, has a restaurant with bar and the staff were super nice. Bed was comfortable, rain shower was hot and they let you take $10 a day from the mini bar for the suspicious NYC "resort" fee most hotels charge. Walk to Uncle Paul's Pizza, Hatsuhana sushi or get breakfast from Mama Jo's breakfast cart on E 47th St. All really good and inexpensive.

Gotham hotel is really nice I loved my stay there! It's location is perfect and the rooms are nice. The bed is super comfortable and I found it was quiet. I also loved the balcony both in the room and the big shared ones on the higher floors. The books in the room were a nice touch and I guess correlates with The Reading Room which I didn't get a chance to visit but I peeked in there and it looked nice! The coffee in the room was great, and when I was confused about the machine I rang the front desk and they were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

The room was surprisingly spacious compared to other options in this price range in New York City! The location was perfect – close to everything but not too close to the hustle and bustle of Times Square. Huge thanks to Brandon at the front desk – he was absolutely helpful in every situation! A big plus was the balcony, which is a rare find in NYC. Additionally, the access to rooftop terraces with stunning views was complimentary. I absolutely recommend this place and will definitely be back! 😊
